RE: END OF YEAR CIRCULAR LETTER TO PARENTS
1.0 GRATITUDE
We thank God for His love and care that has brought us to the end of this year. We extend our gratitude to the Board of Governors and Foundation Body for their tireless guidance and support in running the school.
Our thanks go to all the parents and guardians for the support we received to enable us fulfill our obligations during the term.
The Administration and entire staff of St. Kizito are appreciated for their tireless effort in coordinating all the activities in the school.
Many thanks to our students for working hard and following the school rules well.
2.0 TERM DATES
2.1 The 3rd term has come to an end today 01st December, 2023. All students have been issued with circular letters. Those who cleared school dues have also been issued with report cards.
2.2 The school will reopen on 5th February, 2024. Boarders are to report on Sunday 4th February, 2024.
2.3 All students should report back in full school uniform and should have cleared at least 50% of 1st term’s school fees. The balance should be cleared after the end of 1st month of the term opening.
3.0 ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT IN 3RD TERM
Opening day - 18th September 2023. Boarders reported on 17th September 2023.
Reunion for Legion of Mary of Kampala Archdiocese took place on 24th September 2023.
Beginning of term three exams for non-candidates’ classes started on 25th September, 2023.
Pilgrimage to our Parish of Our Lady of Africa Mbuya took place
on 1st October, 2023.
Holy Mass and Prayers for blessing candidates were held on 8th October, 2023.
UCE (Senior Four) briefing of candidates was held on 13th October, 2023.
Inter-house debate took place from 23rd October up to 27th October, 2023 and Kiwanuka House emerged the best followed by Lourdel House, Comboni and Kestens in that order.
UACE (Senior Six) briefing of candidates took place on 17th November, 2023.
End of term exams started on 15th November, 2023.
3.1 Academics
3.1.1 The main academic programme of term three was the running of UNEB exams at both A and O levels.
S.4 candidates began exams on 13th October and ended on 16th November, 2023, with a few practical subjects sat before 13th October 2023.
We thank God that they successfully completed their UNEB exams. Those who got challenges of sickness were treated by the school nurse and One absentee was registered in O’level Fine Art 612/4. We continue to pray for them that they may all excel in their examinations.
3.1.2 The UACE/A-Level UNEB exams, are ending today 1st December, 2023. These started on 10th November 2023 with briefing. Foods and Nutrition practicals was done earlier. We are praying for God’s blessings upon them to achieve very highly.
3.2 The rest of the non-candidate classes sat for two sets of exams this term. These were Beginning and End of term exams.
4.0 SPIRITUAL FORMATION
• The Comboni Fathers continue to offer Holy Mass for the school every Wednesdays according to classes and Sunday mornings for boarders.
• Rosary prayers are conducted every evening according to classes.
• Catechism classes are conducted every Thursdays after classes for students seeking first Holy Communion, Confirmation and those joining the Catholic Church.
• Religious clubs, for example, Legion of Mary, Prayer Group, YCS, YCMA and Youth Alive, Focolare among others meet every Thursdays after classes and the secular clubs like Interact, Scouts, etc., meet every Fridays after classes.
6.0 DISCIPLINE
We continue to thank God that our students are generally well behaved. However, a few who did not behave well were dealt with at school. Some parents were invited to the school over the indiscipline of their children. A few students were discontinued from school, while others were suspended and warned.
As we already mentioned, majority are trying their best to be disciplined. We thank the parents who have cooperated with the school in matters of discipline of students.
You are reminded that electronics in form of cell phones and the like are strictly prohibited from within the school premises.
7.0 SCHOOL FEES
7.1 School Fees

Bank charges Depends on the payment method chosen.
7.2 Other payments:
• All students offering Food Science & Technology and Art and Design from S.1 to S.4 will contribute Ushs. 50,000/= per term.
• S.5 and S.6 offering Fine Art will pay Ushs. 60,000/= per term.
• S.5 and S.6 offering Foods and Nutrition will pay 50,000/= per term.
• All students offering computer and ICT studies from S.1 – S.6 will contribute 50,000/= per year. This money is to be paid in first term.
• All S.3 and S.4 offering Physical Education (PE) will contribute Ushs. 50,000/= per year.
• All boarding students to pay Ushs. 5,000/= for trimming their hair during the course of the term.
• Students who top their Classes (1st position) will not pay tuition fee in the subsequent term.
NB: This does not apply to boarding fees (Boarding fees is
411,000/=).
• S.1 now promoted to S.2 will pay Ushs. 150,000/= for DIT training and Certificate.
7.3 S.4 candidates are to pay Ushs. 260,000/= for UNEB examinations fee, while S.6 candidates will pay Ushs. 280,000/= for UNEB exams. These are to be paid together with the rest of the fees in term one 2024.
S.4 candidates to bring PLE result slips (3 copies)
S.6 candidates to bring UCE result slips and NIRA birth certificates (3 copies each)
S.4 and S.6 candidates to pay Ushs. 5000/= each for passport photos to be taken from school for UNEB registration. Pay this to the school bursar in cash.
8.0 NON - MONETARY REQUIREMENTS:
These to be collected on the 1st day of reporting.
• All boarding students to bring 8 big rolls of toilet papers while their day scholars counterparts bring 4 big rolls of toilet papers, and two brooms each (one soft, one hard)
• S.2 to bring a ream of photocopying paper each (500 sheets, Dolphin), and one brush each.
• S.3 and S.4 to bring a ream of ruled papers each (500 sheets) and one rubber squeezer each.
• S.6 to bring a ream of graph papers (500 sheets), and a brush each.
• All boarding students to bring two mopping rags each.
• All students who do not have LIN (Learner Identification Numbers) are to report back with fully filled EMIS forms indicating PLE and UCE index numbers for A’ level students.
9.0 UNIFORMS
All students should report in full school uniform
Uniform that have been tampered with, will not be allowed in school
All students must have a black belt for their skirts/trousers.
10.0 OVERVIEW OF 1ST TERM 2024 PROGRAM
1. Opening day for the 1st term 2024 will be on 5th February.
2. Boarders are required to report on 4th February 2024.
3. Beginning of term (B.O.T) exams will commence on 2nd week after reporting
4. Ash Wednesday will be on 14th February, 2024.
5. Sports day will be on Saturday 16th March, 2024.
6. Pro-Life Apostolate (UMPA) will hold their Annual Convention on 9th March 2024 at St. Balikudembe S.S Mitala Maria.
7. Legion of Mary Acies will be on 23rd March 2024 at Uganda Martyrs S.S Namugongo.

NB: Parents are reminded to ONLY visit their children on designated
day for visitation. Apart from when called upon on week days to check on their children’s academic progress or other emergencies.
11.0 OBITUARY
The month of November is dedicated to our faithful departed relatives and friends and hence the school has been praying for them. Our deepest condolence to all those who lost their loved ones during the course of this term. We pray that the good Lord may strengthen the bereaved families and grant eternal peace to the repose of the souls of the deceased.
NB: Uganda Catholic Charismatic Renewal has organized a one-week residential
National Youth Conference starting on 11th December, up to 17th December 2023 at St. Kizito S.S Bugolobi at a fee of Ushs. 35,000/=. It is important that you encourage your child to attend such conferences which uplifts them spiritually.
